As our world has adjusted to global climate change, a new vocabulary has emerged. Ocean acidification is part of that ongoing conversation. As the ocean absorbs more CO2 from the atmosphere, it becomes more acidic. That requires a whole lot of sea life to adjust to a new pH balance, causing trauma to many ecosystems.
