Salvage crews have worked 24 hours a day for a year in preparation of raising the Costa Concordia cruise ship. The luxury liner has been partially submerged off the Italian coast since it struck a reef in January 2012. How successful will the attempt to right the ship — also called parbuckling — be? Those in charge say they will know if the ship can be towed back to shore before the day is over.
