Many reporters who have been in the Gulf these past few months have seen the cost of oil drilling gone awry on the faces of the people who live along the Coast.

After spending the summer in New Orleans filming the "Green Lantern", actor Ryan Reynolds felt the need to speak up for his newly adopted hometown and to draw attention to the issues that we face, and will continue to face, if we don’t move beyond oil.

In August, Reynolds teamed up with National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to make a short video asking viewers to think about the true cost of a gallon of gas — and to join him in calling on the U.S. Senate to address the BP oil disaster and to get back to work on policies addressing climate change.
