It's too bad this home won't be subject to the new performance reporting criteria requirement for certification that the USGBC just announced last week. LEED homes LEED-wash the worst.

Performance vs Certification
I appreciate your mentioning the article on the issue of actual performance of buildings that achieve certification and problems with Green or LEED washing. I believe that this issues is less of an issue with homes built to their standards as the energy efficiency criteria is quite rigorous and it is essentially impossible to get a home certified to LEED without it also being a high performance home.
