Obama continues to support small businessesMon, Feb 08 2010 at 11:11 AM EST
When President Obama attended a town hall meeting in Nashua, N.H., last week, he shared his plans for a $30 billion Small Business Lending Fund. The money would come from repaid TARP funds. During his weekly address, the president continued his focus on small
businesses as part of the solution to the nation’s unemployment woes.“I believe a key part of that foundation is America’s small businesses — the places where most new jobs begin.” Source: White House
While Obama understands the important role that small businesses play in our nation’s economy, he knows that the government can’t go out and create small businesses. Instead, the government should help these businesses grow and expand, and the Small Business Lending Fund is just one tool that will offer entrepreneurs assistance.
