Asthma and allergies are often coupled together.  Asthma is a disease of the respiratory system, specifically, the bronchial tubes, that often involves airway inflammation and restriction.  There are many types of asthma, and it can be triggered by pollution, weather, illness and of course, allergies.  According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), half of the 20 million Americans with asthma have allergic asthma.
