DIY

DIY (do it yourself) projects are a favorite among greenies. Many DIY creations come alive straight from items already owned — lying around the house or forgotten about in someone else's. DIY projects are green because they embody the "reuse" third of the three Rs, and they can be quite satisfying when complete, due to the feelings of pride and accomplishment they inspire. Men, women and children alike enjoy DIY projects because of the vast variety of different types that are possible (mechanics, technology, clothing, food, furniture, carpentry, decor, art and many more). Check out MNN's collection of DIY articles and get creative. (Photo: Flickr)
