Green Design

Keeping in mind everything from city planning to product planning, green design can play a part. At its most basic, broad level, green design means considering the environmental impact of any product or entity. Making sure something will be energy efficient, reusable, natural and/or sustainable (among many other factors) is the essential first step in green design. Green design is spreading to countless areas — including architecture, automobiles, apparel, cosmetics, sanitation, recreation, packaging, furniture, business and many more. (Photo: Flickr)
