Green Design

Keeping in mind everything from city planning to product planning, green design can play a part. At its most basic, broad level, green design also known as 'sustainable design' means considering the environmental impact of any product or entity. Making sure something will be energy efficient, reusable, natural and/or sustainable (among many other factors) is the essential first step in green design. Green design is spreading to countless areas — including architecture, automobiles, apparel, cosmetics, sanitation, recreation, packaging, furniture, business and many more. (Photo: Flickr)
