iPad Mini

iPad

The iPad is a tablet computer designed and manufactured by Apple, Inc. Operating on Apple's iOS software, its interface is centered around Apple's multitouch display. While the iPad is not Apple's first tablet computer, the iPhone's release in 2007 set design and hardware precedents for the later development of the iPad. Four generations of iPads and a smaller version (the iPad Mini) have been released since the iPad's debut in 2010.

iPads have the ability to shoot pictures and video, use GPS navigation, operate online functions, act as e-readers, video call via FaceTime and run numerous apps and games. Some iPads can access cellular connectivity, while others connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. (Photo: vFrosteryd/Flickr)
