Natural Resources News

Natural Resources

Natural resources broadly include, but are not limited to, land, fish, wildlife, biota, air, water, ground water and drinking water supplies. A natural resource is considered a resource "belonging to, managed by, held in trust by, appertaining to, or otherwise controlled by" the United States, any State, an Indian Tribe, a local government or a foreign government.

Resources are a huge concern for environmentalists because human activities, as well as natural events, over time have dramatically impacted the state of all of these resources — leading many of them to scarcity and, in some cases, depletion. (Source: EPA / Photo: Flickr)
