Pollution

 
Water, land, the air we breathe and several other entities can become polluted. Air pollutants may be natural or man-made and may take the form of solid particles, liquid droplets or gases. Water pollution can come from sewage treatment plants, factories, ships, agricultural runoff, mining activities and paved roads, and there are numerous other sources of different types of pollution.
 
We can always take action against pollution: in cleaning up what's existing and, more importantly, preventing more. We can do that by changing how we manufacture as well as how we behave: reduce how much you use, reuse what's left when you're done, and recycle what you can't reuse. Policy has been enacted in the U.S. to prevent and reduce pollution at its sources. (Source: EPA / Photo: Flickr)
