Eco-Glossary

Recycled Products

Myriad products — from tile to tape to tampons — are available in recycled form. More and more companies are attempting to "go green" by offering products that are recycled. When you recycle any item — a piece of computer paper, a soda can, an old VCR or a detergent bottle — it may be processed and used to manufacture new products. This conserves natural resources by repurposing material that was already created, and also benefits the environment by saving energy, reducing solid waste and pollutants and creating new jobs.
