Transportation News

A train, truck, ship and plane

Transportation

Transportation refers to the movement of humans, animals or goods from one place to another, or the system/vehicle by which that movement is accomplished. There are a vast number of different types of transportation grouped by modes: transport by road, rail, water, air, cable and space.

Transportation can be used by the public, private persons, or enterprises.

All transportation requires some form of energy to power it, whether it be supplied by humans, animals, fossil fuels, biofuel, nuclear fission or electricity. Advancements in green transportation technology have yielded cars and boats run on sustainable energy, which both saves the consumer money and reduces noxious emissions into the atmosphere.
