Farm Sanctuary, the nation’s leading farm animal protection agency, hosts a weeklong camp for girls ages 14-18 at its New York Shelter. Campers care for and learn about the 600-plus animals there that were rescued by the organization from abusive factory farming conditions. A plant-based vegan diet is served (vegan s’mores included) and girls learn about vegan cooking and activism in addition to traditional activities like hiking and swimming.
