Eden Village Camp: Putnam Valley, N.Y.Located on 248 acres near the Appalachian Trail, Eden Village Camp is a nonprofit Jewish environmental overnight camp for third- to 12th-graders celebrating its inaugural year this summer. Campers have a zero-waste goal and eat organic kosher food, mostly from the camp’s farm. They take part in organic farming, wilderness adventures, natural science and animal care. Eden Village runs on solar power and biodiesel and campers help to build and renovate cob ovens, straw bale huts and rainwater catchment systems.

You might also be thinking of Camp Kinder Ring.
Does anyone know the name of the summer camp that used to occupy this property in Putnam Valley back in the 60's and 70's (and probably before or after)?
Was it a boy scout camp? Maybe it is one listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westchester-Putnam_Council
