I read this story in "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark." It does seem pretty hard to believe, but there have been plenty of other supposed wolf children so who knows?

If the girl was too malnourished, the wolves probably would have attacked and killed her already. If there's a group of dogs and one gets hurt, the weakened one usually gets attacked, as it is instinct for them to put the wounded out of misery. My guess is that the girl is just a vagrant, and people are leaving food out for her. If she's really eating raw meat from animals killed by wolves, she probably would have suffered from many food-borne illnesses, due to the uncleanliness of the meat. Sure,

I agree with you this story just sounds ridiculous. You can't turn "he say she say" into facts, but all of these stories are equally interesting. The thought of being raised by animals is astonishing. The monkey story shocked me the most because monkeys are extremely powerful and dangerous. I'm surprised that the man survived living in the group.

Maybe but women don't have to have had kid's to produce milk thou it is unlikely she would have been healthy enough to do so. Even if she was seen eating goat's wolves go days sometimes weeks without food she would have been the lowest on the pecking order and had to eat last so it's likely she would have been too malnourished to produce milk thou a pup that's being weened might have decided to try after all a woman's breasts would look full of milk to a pup and thus worth a try someone might have
