For the next few weeks, you can make a difference in the lives of homeless teens, both here and in Haiti, just by donating a pair of your gently used jeans. As part of their Teens For Jeans campaign, DoSomething.org has partnered with retailer Aéropostale to hand out "pre-loved" jeans to teens in homeless shelters around the world. The first 100,000 jeans collected will be sent to Haiti to support homeless teens, and Aéropostale has agreed to match that donation with another 100,000 pairs of brand-new jeans. (OK, my first thought here was "Is this what the people of Haiti really need right now ... designer jeans?" But hey, clothing is clothing and if it helps in any way, then it's got to be a good thing.)

In addition, the Teens For Jeans campaign has partnered with 600 homeless shelters across the U.S. and Canada to support homeless teens in our own backyards. Just drop off any pair of your gently worn jeans to any Aéropostale store between Jan. 19 and Feb. 14. Any size, any brand ... as long as they are jeans. As an added perk, Aéropostale will give you 25 percent off of any pair of jeans in the store.
