Captain Planet: A Hero for Earth

Captain Planet
Episode 1 Recap:
In A Hero for Earth, the first episode of Captain Planet and the Planeteers, viewers are introduced to Gaia, the spirit of Earth, played by Whoopi Goldberg. Gaia awakes to find humans are destroying the planet. To save the Earth, she creates five magic rings, each with the power to control an element of nature and one controlling the extra element, heart - and presents the rings to five special young people she selects from across the globe: Kwame from Africa, Wheeler from the United States, Linka from the Soviet Union, Gi from Asia, and Ma-Ti from South America. These are the Planeteers. When they encounter situations they cannot handle alone, they combine and magnify their powers to summon Captain Planet, who possesses all of their powers magnified.

In this episode, the Planeteers battle Hoggish Greedly, played by Ed Asner, (best known for his role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show) whose oil rig operation is jeopardizing the coastline.  Captain Planet was the first cartoon series to feature the voices of well-known celebrities, including Elizabeth Taylor, Meg Ryan, Martin Sheen, Sting, Ed Begley, Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Gldblum, Neil Patrick Harris, Fred Savage, LeVar Burton and many, many more.

Good Morning America

Kwame from Africa is the Reading Rainbow guy. Whoop Goldberg is the voice Gaia. We should write her at Good Morning America and tell her the Earth needs the Spirit of the Earth again. Were summoning Captain Planet BACK! lol

If and when you have a family keep it small.

If and when you have a family keep it small.China and India are already 1 billion +.Other countries will be 1 billion + if people don't stop having large families.
