In celebration of Earth Day, PBS KIDS is launching an entire week of eco-themed 'Arthur' episodes.  Arthur and friends will explore the great outdoors in a week of fun-filled, outdoor-themed episodes, including two all-new Arthur episodes.  Here's description at the “Speak Up Francine," episode which aired today.  
The local creek is polluted! The culprit: pesticide run-off from neighborhood lawns. Francine is determined to get the word out at the annual Earth Day rally. But will a crippling fear of public speaking derail this aspiring environmental activist? Educational Objective: Francine learns that when you are passionate and believe in yourself, you can conquer your fears. / Ladonna can't wait to experience her first blizzard. Skiing, sledding... SNOW DAYS!! If only the weather would cooperate. Can Arthur and Buster help make her snowy dreams a reality? 
Arthur's Earth-week episodes focus on teaching protecting the planet, speaking up for what you believe in, patience, sharing and teamwork.  Perfect for a rainy Earth Day afternoon.
