How many times has your child come to you with a drawing so unique you wished you could bring her creation to life? You may now have the chance, thanks to craft artists like Wendy Tsao of Child's Own Studio
Tsao's specialty is helping children create a keepsake that can be cherished for a lifetime. Take a look through the hundreds of pictures in her Flickr
gallery, and you can see that Tsao is an expert at what she does. She has a knack for finding the right materials to match the mood and feel of each child's design. Here are a few of my favorites:
On her website, Tsao notes just how much detail there really is in this initial drawing. Apparently, the artist's mother sent an email to make sure Tsao captured the most important features. The first drawing is the child's, the second is Tsao's with her notes, and the third pic is their collaboration brought to life.
More awesome collaborations:
As you can imagine, Tsao's waiting list is months' long. And unfortunately, she is not taking any new orders right now. But she does promise to open up her order list sometime soon. In the meantime, she also offers a list of other soft toy makers
who do similar work.
