Happy Birthday to a true original, Dr. Seuss! When it comes to children's books, Dr. Seuss is the stuff of legends. His stories have managed to transcend time and touch children for generations. Sometimes, his stories are silly, like Green Eggs and Ham or The Cat In The Hat. While stories like The Butter Battle Book and Yertle The Turtle, touch on larger issues with amazing clarity. And of course, Dr. Seuss has earned a special place in the hearts of greenies with his story of The Lorax, a tale with an environmental message that was as true when it was published in 1971 as it is today.
