Jonathan Kubben Quiñonez may be a 27-year-old model and world traveler, but he's also a son. And he knows just how much his mom worries when he's away. To ease her fears, Quiñonez came up with a genius way to check in while he's on the go.
Quiñonez set up an Instagram account aptly called Mom I'm Fine to document his travels and keep his mom from worrying about his health and whereabouts. The young traveler posts shots of his adventures — from scuba diving to skydiving to chilling on the beach — all while reassuring his mom he's OK.
Quiñonez is living the life many of us dream about. He quit his job and sold his car to fund his world travels. "I always wanted to do it, but every time I was trying to convince myself that I couldn’t with sentences like, 'What about your jobs or your car or your cat?' But these are just pretexts. In the end, when you really want something, you go for it or at least try," Quiñonez said in an interview with Bored Panda.
But he knew while many would be envious, his mother would just be anxious.
So how does his mom feel about Quiñonez's travels? “She is still worried, like every mother. But in the end, she is happy because she knows I’m having the time of my life,” he said.
