Dorian Murray is 8 years old and he's dying of cancer. His one wish is to be famous. So the Internet is rallying to make that happen.

Four years ago, Dorian was diagnosed with a rare muscle cancer. He has battled bravely over those four years. But just a few weeks ago, he and his parents were told that his cancer was terminal. Dorian was sent home to live out his remaining days.

At home, Dorian told his parents that he had just one wish before he died — to be famous in China. Why China? Because he had images in his head of the Great Wall of China and he wanted to make his mark on such a place.

Shortly thereafter, Dorian's dad sent out a plea on Facebook, revealing Dorian's wish and asking anyone who knew anyone in China — or any other country — if they could send a picture to Dorian with the #DStrong hashtag to let the young boy know that he is famous around the world.

It was a shot in the dark. But the Internet responded in full force.

Even though Facebook is still banned in China, Dorian's story made its way there, and very quickly, supportive posts began pouring in:

And, of course, it didn't stop in China.
