Jennifer Lopez is playing Santa this year, and she's asking her fans to help spread some holiday joy while raising money for charity.

 

Lopez recently launched her "J. Lo's Christmas Gift" drive, asking fans to donate to three charities that hold a special place in her heart - the Boys & Girls Club, the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Red Cross. To pay it forward, she's giving away two tickets to the last show of her "Dance Again" world tour in Puerto Rico on Saturday. Oh, and she'll throw in airfare and hotel costs, too.

 

The contest, which ends tonight, is running on Twitter with the hashtag #JLOSCHRISTMASGIFT. She said in an interview that she decided to use Twitter to promote her contest after seeing how much response she received from posting on the social media platform. "I thought, 'What if every person I tweeted and asked for a follow donated a dollar?' I have 13 1/2 million followers (on Twitter)," she said. "We can collect a lot of money for these charities that I work with that are literally close to my heart."
