Daley Walsh and his wife, Alicia got a nice surprise this past Mother's day when they visited one of their favorite restaurants for a Mother's Day brunch - a discount for their well-behaved child
The Canadian couple was dining with their one-year-old daughter, Evie. As any parent of a toddler knows, this can be a very messy age for kids in restaurants
. They generally throw anything and everything they can get their hands on to the floor - making a disaster area of the floor and table in the process.
The Walshes knew this might be a problem, so they took a few extra precautions to minimize the damage. For starters, they brought their own portable high chair. They were also diligent about cleaning up after themselves and their daughter before they left.
And their diligence was rewarded when the check came around.
As you can see from the bill, posted online by Walsh under the Reddit username "looseONtheGoose," the restaurant - the Carino Japanese Bistro in Canada - gave the Walshes a $5.00 discount for having "Well Behaved Kids."
Congrats to the Walshes, for going the extra mile in restaurant manners
. And to the Carino Japanese Bistro for recognizing that dining with a one-year-old is not easy task.
That's a Mother's Day win in my book.
