You might not recognize the name, but you surely recognize the movies.  Peter Docter is the Pixar animator and director behind such films as Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Up.  In 2009, middle school teacher Martin Kelsey wrote to Docter and asked for some advice to pass to his students at Missouri's South Valley Middle School.

Here's what Docter had to say:

Very cool advice for kids.  And you just gotta love the doodles!

It's worth noting that Mr Kelsey's letter to Docter was not an isolated incident.  The middle school teacher has been writing letters to celebrities for over twenty decades, soliciting advice to pass on to his students.  His blog, Dear Mr. Kelsey is a treasure trove of posts, letters, and autographed photos from the likes of Evangeline Lilly, General Norman Schwarzkopf, and Clint Black. Check it out!
