Presents for a purpose
Mother's Day gifts that give back to Mother Earth.

Mother's Day, Gift Ideas
With Mother's Day right around the corner (**hint-hint  to my kids**) I've been searching around for a special, eco-savvy way to celebrate my own mom.  One cool site that I came across is Presents For Purpose, an online gift store with an eclectic mix of goodies that donates a portion of every purchase to charity.

Started by two women who are themselves survivors of Hodgkin's disease, Presents For Purpose gives back 25 percent of its proceeds to charities.  They have an entire section devoted to "Thinking Green" with gifts like the Eco-Friendly Bags from Envirosax ($8.50) whose purchase benefits Trees For The Future or the Earth Day Earrings ($22.00) that benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council.  Products range from $8 to $170 with most products coming in under $75.

And if cash is tight and you're hoping to win some goodies to give to your mom, head over to the Facebook party I'm throwing today to celebrate the release of my latest book, The Green Teen: The Eco-Friendly Teen's Guide to Saving the Planet.  I'm giving away a prizes all day from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. EST, including a $150 tote/tee/tank top package from Presents For Purpose around 4 p.m.!
