A few days ago, I wrote about the bee swarm that found its way into my yard.  As a result of that incident, I've become fascinated by bees and I've been chatting with experts acorss the country on the buzz about bees nationwide.  This, of course, has led to a lot of discussion about Colony Collapse Disorder(CCD), the mystery condition via which bees are dying in record numbers around the world.

This is a trailer for the documentary feature film - The Vanishing of the Bees - that takes a close look at CCD and aims to help people connect with with the insects that help to provide 1/3 of the food we eat.  The film is still in the making, so check out their website if you want to contribute thoughts, or better yet funds, to their cause.

This was solved in 2003, and France has already recovered their bees. Its just suppressed. Go to http://www.bulletinofinsectology.org/pdfarticles/vol56-2003-063-067borto...
