Now that the kids have been back in school for a few weeks, I'm curious to know if you've gotten any feedback from yours about the new school lunches that are supposed to be lower in calories and higher in fruit, vegetable, and whole grain content. My kids have made a few comments, mosly positive ones about the wider range of fruit and vegetable selections available now at lunches. But not all kids are pleased with the new guidelines.
In this parody video above, students from Wallace County High School in Sharon Springs, Kansas, are protesting the meager portions of the new school lunches and I have to say, it looks like they have a point. If nothing else, the video is so comical that it's well worth the share.
What do you think? Should schools be given more leeway to feed active kids more calories at lunch?
