Want your chance to get in on some family fun at the White House this spring? The lottery is now open for the 135th annual White House Easter Egg Roll, which will take place on Monday, April 1. More than 35,000 people are expected to join the first family on the South Lawn for activities including games, stories, singing, dancing, and of course, the traditional egg roll.

President Obama made this video with YouTube star, Kid President to advertise the event:

The theme for this year's event is “Be Healthy, Be Active, Be You” which is a nice take on Michelle Obama's Let’s Move! campaign. In addition to all the fun and games, the day's activities will include sports and cooking demonstrations to help show families how to incorporate healthy eating and exercise choices into their daily routines.

Tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll are distributed through an online lottery system, so that guests from all over the U.S. have a shot at attending the event. The lottery is open now and closes at 10 a.m. EST on Monday (Feb. 25, 2013.)  Head over to Recreation.gov to enter the lottery and win a chance to join the fun. The event is open to children aged 13 years and younger and their families.

Lottery results will be sent via email and posted on Recreation.gov on March 1, 2013 for all applicants.
