Nick Boxer: You know, it’s like when you talk to some people who are not into the environment, they get very defensive, and then some people are like, you know, sort of, “It’s here for us,” and that’s the mentality. And animals are somehow lesser than human beings, and they’re here to be used. I don’t know, that mindset kind of disturbs me. I mean, I am not — I eat meat. I don’t have a problem with that. But I do believe, for example, that an animal — even if it’s being raised for that purpose, should be given a very high quality of life, you know, while it’s living. I mean, we are omnivorous. We were designed biologically to eat meat, but historically we were hunters, and so we culled — you know, we were like any other hunter. We culled the weak and sick, so we helped to benefit the propagation of other species and the strength of other species. You know, but then at a certain point, we started to farm animals, and raise animals, and animal husbandry, and it’s like all of a sudden we’re simply raising animals for food. And when it was done on a small scale, that’s one thing, but on a large scale, it’s kind of a disturbing process. We should probably eat less meat. It should be of a higher quality and raised under better conditions, and the animals should have a good life while they’re alive.

He is so right. Great point...
I class myself as flexitarian and eat Quorn instead of chicken where I can because I feel that chickens just get the worst deal.
