At about $1,800, the Pedego Comfort Cruiser is the most expensive item on this list. It requires deeper pockets, a little more lead time to purchase, and a truly great dad as the recipient. I've been a fan of Pedego for a couple years and can attest to the quality of this bike. I've been riding the same model for two years (which, in full disclosure, the company provided to me for free) and it doesn't look that much different than when I first unpacked it. This electric bike is best used as a replacement for a car, especially if you live in a city. Your super-deserving dad will love ripping around town on the super comfy cruiser, cranking the bike up to 20 mph or more with the motorcycle-like throttle. One of the magic things about the cruiser is that it's easy to upgrade the relatively inexpensive battery every year. (From 2009 to 2010, the range of its battery increased by 50 percent.)
