Founded in 1913, Boston Children’s Museum was the very first museum to introduce hands-on, interactive exhibits. Now it’s also one of the greenest, thanks to extensive renovations earning LEED Gold Certification. However, this summer the spotlight is on the museum’s “Wizard of Oz” exhibit. This interactive fantasy-adventure celebrates the film’s 70th anniversary by letting kids create their own tornado in Dorothy’s bedroom, explore Munchkin houses, climb the mountain to the Wicked Witch’s castle and more.
