With some 150 interactive exhibits in more than 50,000 square feet, Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose invites kids to test, crank, listen, prod and tinker. Inside the striking purple building are permanent exhibits like “ The Art Loft,” “Bubbalogna,” “Current Connections,” the “Kids’ Garden” and “WaterWays.” A new Ice Age exhibition, “Mammoth Discovery!”, is based on Columbian mammoth fossils found nearby, and features two life-size mammoth replicas. Visitors can dig for fossils, build a mammoth skeleton, and meet the man who discovered the fossils and the scientists who researched them.
