You’ll meet “EDDIE,” the world’s largest child, at EdVenture Children’s Museum. Kids can climb inside his 40-foot-high (that’s sitting down!) body to scale his vertebrae, investigate his brain, play in his stomach … and slide out his intestines. There are nine galleries with 350 hands-on activities throughout EdVenture. “My Backyard” is an enclosed space for the 0-3 set, while “Mission Imagination,” “World of Work” and other spaces appeal to older children, showing them how to communicate with art, music and movement as well as the intricate ways communities are built. “Blooming Butterflies” is the newest exhibit, and two more are set to open this summer: “Kangaroo Crossing” and “Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action.”
