Support local food vendors

More than 60 restaurants from the state of Louisiana sell traditional dishes at the Jazz & Heritage Festival. Many of these vendors are able to make their yearly income over the festival's two weekends. Try as many dishes as you can fit in your stomach (or split with a friend to taste even more).

Pictured here is the Roman Candy Company, which sells chocolate-, vanilla- and strawberry-flavored chewing sticks — more commonly known as taffy — at the festival.
