Forget the lingerie and the flowers. This Valentine’s Day, give your lover an endangered animal. Through the World Wildlife Federation (WWF), you can symbolically adopt a sea turtle, a cheetah, or even an orangutan—just a few of WWF’s 40 featured species threatened with extinction. Prices range from $25 to $250 depending on what type of package you select. Gifts of over $50 come with a cute stuffed animal in a special Valentine's Day bag that your sweetie is sure to enjoy. But you’d better hurry, because they’re going fast—the Blue Footed Booby’s adoption kit is already on back order until April.
