I didn’t -- I don’t think I did Captain Planet to be remembered. It’s kind of nice that you worked on something that sort of has some sort of a legacy to it. I just think I would want Captain Planet to be remembered as really striving to do something positive, to do something positive for children, to do something positive for the environment, to empower kids. I meet a lot of young adults who say that Captain Planet really inspired them and gave them sort of a worldview. And it doesn’t mean that they’re not working in business, and it doesn’t mean that they’re not bankers, and it doesn’t mean that they’re environmentalists, but it means they carry that sort of sensibility and sensitivity with them. And I think they value that. That makes me happy.
"Captain Planet" is an animated series created by Ted Turner in the 1990s. MNN.com is the primary source for "Captain Planet" episodes on the Web.
Captain Planet is a superhero whose powers are implemented by a team of five Planeteers (as well as himself), each of whom helps combat environmental catastrophes like pollution, animal poaching, water scarcity and more. Each episode of "Captain Planet" involves the captain and his planeteers tackling different dilemmas and nefarious eco-villains.
