I love Thanksgiving. A whole day centered on food, family, and fun ... who wouldn't love that? But sometimes it's easy for me to forget that while I think it's fun to hang out in the kitchen cooking up a storm or drive across the state to visit relatives, the youngest members of my family might find these holiday traditions quite boring. So here are some crafts, games, and tips to keep us all happy, sane, and grateful this Thanksgiving.

Crafts

Autumn Leaf Turkey: Bring the beauty of nature indoors with this simple craft that uses leaves and pine cones to create a holiday turkey.
Tree of Thanks: This charming centerpiece will be the talk of your holiday dinner table. If you have a small gathering, use a smaller branch, if you need more room, make more than one!
Hands and Feet Turkey: Children will enjoy tracing their hands and feet to create this one-of-a-kind paper turkey craft for Thanksgiving. At my daughter's preschool, they made made this turkey using hand and foot prints rather than cutting out pieces of paper.
Give Thanks Turkey: A few cute ideas and a great way for both kids and adults to share their thoughts about what they are grateful for.
Thanksgiving Piñata: With a little extra prep, you and your kids can whip up this cool holiday piñata to share with guests on the big day.

Games and activities

Thanksgiving Place Mat: For kids that need a little help sitting still at the table, try this fun activity place mat or these What Are You Thankful For? activity sheets.
Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt: Help the whole family walk off that turkey dinner with a holiday scavenger hunt around the neighborhood.
Thanksgiving Feast: This Thanksgiving Feast is a fun arcade-style food game for kids to learn about nutrition. Bounce a ball off the top of a flying cornucopia and collect only the healthy food that comes out
Thanksgiving Coloring Book: Kids can color a turkey, a pumpkin, or even a basket of corn using their computer and creativity.
Thanksgiving History Quiz: Can your kids talk turkey?  Challenge them to take this online holiday quiz.
Thanksgiving Dominoes: Print out these holiday themed dominoes for kids to play with at the table.

here's what we do

* One activity, for example, can be to have your family photograph taken on Thanksgiving Day. This Thanksgiving Day picture will always remind you of the wonderful time you shared with your family that day.

* To make your Thanksgiving activities more fun-filled, you can plan few games with your family. It can be a family game that may last for few hours. This will bring the family close together and the Thanksgiving Day will become much more enjoyable.

* Sometimes you may.... More

Just click "No Thanks"

Hi There, if you just click "No Thanks" instead of "Take me to the Survey" the pop up will go away and you can look at everything again.

This survey stinks!

Family fun survey keeps popping up and will not let me print any of the craft templates, but you can see the whole block to close it!
