After an earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on March 11, the media was full of tragic news as well as amazing stories of survival. One such survival story centered on a dog that stood guard over an injured canine on a debris-strewn beach. Although the dog was extremely protective of its wounded pal, rescuers were eventually able to calm the him and get the injured pup to a veterinary clinic.
