As long as photography has been around, the technology's power has been apparent. Photography documents, explains, entices, incriminates, inspires, and yes, even has the power to saves lives. This last use couldn't be more true than in the case of shelter animals, and one nonprofit is hammering the point home. HeARTs Speak brings together photographers with rescue groups to help get animals out of shelters and into safe forever homes. These "before and after" images of rescued dogs illustrate what a difference having a skilled photographer on hand can make for an animal in need.
