Sir Hollywood the English bulldog plays it cool while surfing on Sept. 30 during the annual Surf City Surf Dog competition in Huntington Beach, Calif. Over 1,500 spectators gathered at the beach to watch 48 dogs try their luck with the waves.

Hanzo, a 4-year-old German boxer, jumps over a wave while competing in the Surf City Surf Dog event. In addition to his extreme  surfing talents, Hanzo is also accomplished at skateboarding, which he began learning when he was just 10 weeks old.

A dog falls off its surfboard while competing in the Surf City Surf Dog competition on Sept. 30. The competition is divided into several heats based on weight class, ranging from small dogs (20 lbs and under) up to extra large dogs (60 lbs and above).
