How expensive is owning a pet? [Infographic]
It's hard to say no to a cuddly creature, but before you bring one home, you should know what normal costs might be. This infographic helps put the numbers in perspective.

A can of Merrick? I used to buy cans of Merrick as an occasional high-quality treat for my dog (at which point he was eating healthier than me *g* ). That sounds much more like the price for a CASE of cans, frankly. Where the heck are you paying $26 for a single can?!

We just adopted a dog (a five month old actually) The adoption fee was enough of a choke for me. (She's spayed already and has nearly all her vaccinations.) Then came the food, collars, leash, toys, treats for training, crate, vet visit, microchip registration. I am a pretty no frills pet owner in general. But, it's a younger dog than I have ever adopted--thus the toys/crate-better to get her trained right from the beginning than deal with dog issues for years. I expect after this initial bit--the
.... More
costs will go down greatly. In the meantime, is there really a price that properly values a good dog?
