Animal shelter overflows as temperatures drop
A Kansas City animal shelter is at full capacity, mostly because of an influx of animals found battling the winter weather. The Kansas City Pet Project has about 250 kennels, and all of them are currently filled.
Regardless of where you live, if you find an animal that’s been left in the cold, call Animal Control or your local animal shelter. If the animal is friendly, take it to a shelter or veterinarian to check for a microchip.
