A 22-pound cat named Lux recently held an Oregon family and the pet dog hostage in a bedroom until police arrived.
Trouble started when a 7-month-old child pulled Lux's tail and the cat scratched him on the forehead. The child's father kicked the cat, and then the Himalayan trapped the family in a bedroom. They called 911.
Although the family describes the incident as scary, the Portland Police Department seems to have found it humorous. The police report says that officers apprehended Lux as he was "attempting to flee custody" and that "officers were able to outwit the high-strung Himalayan."
The family says they're still deciding what to do with the cat.
