Are you worried about the chemicals that your kids are exposed to on a daily basis? You are not alone. Tomorrow, August 10th is the National Day of Action
declared by Safer Chemicals Healthy Families -- the day for families to join together and speak out about the need for better safety testing for chemicals and better protection for kids against toxic chemicals.
All across the country, you can join like-minded parents to show your support for a toxic-free future for your kids. These "stroller brigade" events are (of course) kid-friendly and will include letter writing campaigns, kids activities, and red super hero capes for the kids to wear as you walk to your Senator’s office and hand deliver letters of support for the Safe Chemicals Act - legislation that would require more and better testing of chemicals before they make their way into children's products.
Stroller Brigade events are scheduled to take place in Hartford, Ct; Wilmington, DE; Lexington, KY; Portland, ME; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Missoula, MT; New York, NY; Portland, OR; Pittsburgh, PA; and Seattle, WA. Check out the Safer Chemicals Healthy Families Stroller Brigade
page to find out more details about where each event is located.
