Plastic? Did you worry about that when you typed on your plastic computer keyboard or cell phone keys?
An easy way to save on enery usage is to have a plug switch or to unplug televisions/stereos/etc that use instant on when they are turned on. Those devices use energy 24/7/365 whether used or not due to the internal feature. Unplug and save energy.
