It's Cinco de Mayo! In Mexico, May 5 commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. In the U.S. and around the world, this date is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride, observed by all, regardeless of ethnic origin.
