Duck for turkey day?

It's almost Thanksgiving, and Tuyet is excited about the holiday and the vacation from school. There's just one problem: her Vietnamese-American family is having duck for Thanksgiving dinner -- not turkey! Nobody has duck for Thanksgiving. What will her teacher and the other kids think?This is the plot behind the new children's book, Duck for Turkey Day by Jacqueline Jules. It's a lovely story that gives kids a glimpse at the greater meaning behind the Thanksgiving (Hint: it has nothing to do with the amount of turkey and potatoes you can pile on your plate!) In fact, not only does Tuyet enjoy her yummy Thanksgiving dinner, she gets a little surprise back at school when she hears about the roast beef, lamb and enchiladas that adorned the Thanksgiving tables of her classmates. Turns out, Thanksgiving is not about food; it's about family.
